History

Mother Marie Augustine born Caroline Lenfrena is the founder mother of the Bon et Perpetuel Secours( the first Women religious institution which had a Mauritian founder in Mauritius-founded in 1850).
BPS was created during a time of turmoil not to say chaos in our Mauritian country. It was the abolition of slavery.
Mother Marie Augustine worked mostly among the liberated slaves and the poorest of this society.
She believed that a good teacher has to possess "A mother's spirit and heart, which teaches, guides, loves and caress'
After the second world war, many social,religious,economic and political problem resulted, so there was a great urge to build a college.
As a matter of fact, it was also time to celebrate the 100 anniversary of the BPS, so they decided to built the BPS college.
Therefore, the BPS college was founded by Mother Marie Augustine in 1950

BPS today!

Already 57 years since the foundation of our school. There has been a great change in the infrastructures. Recently, a new building has been inaugurated.
Our current rector is Mr Ah Tow
Our deputy rector is Mrs Daurat
Long live BPS...
